Turbo MHGA series (Modular Hot Gas Ammonia) are microprocessor controlled ice modules that can be combined to operate alone or as part of a sequenced modular ice making array for 25 tons per day ice to over 300 tons of ice per day.

How does a Fragmented Ice Machine work?

The Turbo MHGA Ice maker is a series of stainless steel laser plates welded together to form internal passages for the flow of refrigerant. Plates are grouped vertically with ice forming on both sides of sheets. At predetermined intervals, hot refrigerant gas enters the plates causing the ice to harvest. The ice discharges in 1/4″ to 1/2” fragmented pieces which is moist on the surface but does not readily clump in storage. The ice can be harvested and stored in bulk or conveyed to other locations for future use.
