Vapor Safety Relief Valves- H

The H Series of Safety Relief Valves are designed to protect refrigeration systems from overpressure situations and feature a high flow capacity. The H Series are flanged for easy replacement and can be used in a single or dual relief combination.

The H Series high capacity safety relief valves are designed and constructed to meet the requirements of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, ANSI/ASHRAE 15-2007 Code, and they bare the ASME Code Symbol (UV), indicating compliance with these codes. Employing proven principles of design, these safety relief valves are highly reliable. Precision machined moving parts of stainless steel, a PTFE disc and a cadmium-plated spring prevent sticking due to corrosion or cold welding to ensure valve opening at the set pressure long after installation. When it comes time for replacement, the two-bolt flanged bottom inlet affords for simple removal and replacement.

Two relief valves can be mounted on a Type M dual stop valve manifold to permit either valves to be shut off individually and removed for repair or inspection. Thus, one valve is always in service as required by most codes.

Safety Relief Valves- CSR and CSRH

The CSR and CSRH Valves employ proven principles of design, these safety relief valves are highly reliable and dependable. The valves are precision machined assure valve opening at the set pressure long after installation.

Parker’s cartridge safety relief valves (CSRV) are designed to offer the highest level of protection while maintaining easy serviceability. The CSRV was designed from the existing Parker SR and SRH safety relief valve housing, which allows for a simple and easy upgrade path to the new cartridge based design. As local or state codes govern the frequency of valve replacement, the CSRV is a cost effective alternative to standard safety relief valve designs.

Markets:

• Refrigeration Specialties

Features and Benefits:

• Suitable for ammonia and halocarbon refrigerants
• ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section VIII, Division 1 compliant
• ANSI/ASHRAE 15 safety standard for refrigeration systems
• Stainless steel cartridge and internal components
• Same lay in length as SR and SRH series safety relief valves
• Cartridge based design allows for replacement while housing remains in the system
• Non-stick PTFE seat
• Set pressure tolerance of ±3%
• Unaffected by vibration
Function and Design:
• Safety relief valves are used to protect against or limit pressure build up in refrigeration systems, vessels or compressors caused by a process upset or equipment failure.
• The cartridge safety relief valve (CSR) and high capacity cartridge safety relief valve (CSRH) are intended to prevent the pressure of the vessel from rising more than 10% above the designed working pressure (DWP) of the vessel or the pressure setting of the relief device, whichever is the lower pressure.

Application:

• Compressor Packages
• Accumulator Vessels
• Anywhere else protection from overpressure is required

Safety Relief Valves- SRLQ

The SRLQ liquid relief valves are conventional, direct spring loaded safety relief valves designed to protect the liquid containing portions of vessels built to the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code.

The SRLQ liquid safety relief valve is a unique solution providing overpressure protection of vessels containing liquid. While traditional safety relief valves are designed for vapor use only the SRLQ is unique in that is it designed specifically for use with liquids. Safety relief valves are designed to relieve pressure in a vessel when the set pressure is exceeded, preventing potential damage to equipment and injury to personnel. After opening, these valves re-seat when the pressure in the vessel is below the valve’s closing pressure. The liquid safety relief valves (SRLQ) are designed and constructed to meet the requirements of Section VIII ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code and ANSI/ASHRAE 15 code requirements and bear the ASME code symbol. Employing proven principles of design, these safety relief valves are highly reliable and dependable. Precision machined moving parts of stainless steel, and a PTFE disc prevent sticking due to corrosion or cold welding and assure valve opening at the set pressure long after installation.
