Type S7A is a very versatile pilot operated, positive lift, solenoid valve that may be used in most liquid, or hot gas lines.

Parker’s S7 series solenoid valves are available in a low pressure drop version that are capable of opening with a pressure drop less than 1 psi across the valve. This feature makes them ideal for applications where low pressure drop is important, such as low pressure liquid feed lines. The S7 is a pilot operated, positive lift, cast iron bodied valve. The valve may be opened by means of the manual opening stem for servicing or in case of electrical power failure. The Type S7 Solenoid Valve is furnished with FPT Internal NPT (U.S. Standard Taper Pipe Thread), Socket Weld, Weld Neck or ODS (solder over copper tubing of given diameter) connections.

Solenoid Valves- SV2

This compact, heavy duty, pilot operated, ductile iron bodied solenoid valve is suitable for Ammonia, and other refrigerants, certain oils and other fluids approved for use in refrigeration.

Parker’s SV2 is a compact pilot operated solenoid valve that is ideal for liquid feed and hot gas feed applications. The valve compact size makes it ideal for installations where limited mounting space exists. The SV2 can be mounted on vertical lines which allows designers more freedom in the placement of the valve especially in tight quarters. The SV2 may be opened by means of a manual opening stem for servicing or in case of an electrical power failure. The valve can be ordered with a close couple stainless steel screen strainer. The Type SV2 valve is available with an optional extension tube to raise the solenoid operator and coil housing assembly 50mm (2.0”) above the valve body to accommodate pipe Insulation. When this option is desired, the Type SV2A solenoid valve should be specified. The Type SV2 and SV2A solenoid valves can be furnished with FPT: Internal NPT (U.S. Standard Taper Pipe Thread), Socket Weld, Weld Neck, or ODS (solders over copper tubing of given diameter) connections. The valves may be easily removed from between the flanges for servicing. The SV2 is a spring closing, normally closed solenoid valve.

Solenoid Valves- S4A Type

Parker’s S4 solenoids are the refrigeration industry’s standard for solenoid valves and have provided decades of safe and reliable operation.  These valves are highly configurable and can be provided with flanges for Socket Welding, Butt Welding, ODS connections, and Threaded connections.  The S4 is offered in sizes from ¾” (DN20) to 8” (DN200).  These valves may be opened by means of the manual opening stem for servicing or in case of electrical power failure.  As the S4 valves up to 4” feature a flanged connection they may be easily removed from the system for servicing.  The S4 valves are pilot operated and require a minimum 0.21 bar (3 psi) pressure drop to fully open.  The S4AD is a spring closing, pilot operated, dual-position solenoid valve which is crucial for evaporator control groups that use hot gas defrost.  The dual position function of the S4AD allows the system to equalize before fully opening and can prevent liquid hammer.  The S4X is an explosion proof hazardous environment type solenoid carrying a NEMA Type 4 and 7 classification.

Gas Powered Suction Stop Valve- Pilot Assemblies

The S9A Pilot Assembly is to be used in conjunction with the S9A and S9W valves which are designed to promptly and fully open or close under conditions which make conventional solenoid valves unreliable or unsuitable.

The S9A Pilot Assembly is designed to simplify the specification and installation of an S9A or S9W. The S9A Pilot Assembly contains both the Pressure Solenoid, the Bleed Solenoid, and a strainer in a convenient package. This twin Pilot Assembly serves to admit condenser gas pressure to the piston for opening and to bleed this gas pressure to the suction line for valve closing.

Solenoid Valves S8F and S6N

The S6N & S8F Solenoid Valves are compact, heavy duty and are suitable for Ammonia and other common refrigerants for liquid lines, refrigerant oil lines, and as a pilot valve to actuate remote gas powered valves and other pilot actuated devices.

A solenoid valve is an electrically operated device used to control the flow of liquids or gases in a fully open or fully closed configuration. The S6N & S8F are normally closed solenoid valves to control the flow of refrigerant. Like all Refrigerating Specialties Solenoid Valves, these valves do not modulate. When electrically energized, they open wide; when de-energized, the valves close to stop flow in the normal direction. The S8F is direct acting; the valve needle is lifted and held open electrically by the solenoid coil. No pressure drop or flow is required to open or hold open this valve. Thus, the S6N Solenoid Valve is ideal for use as a pilot solenoid valve. The S8F is a pilot operated valve which features a higher flow capacity than the S6N. Both valves are available with ductile iron or stainless steel bodies.

Solenoid 3-Way Heat Reclaim Valve

Parker Type 3 Way series valves primary purpose is to control automatically the flow of fluids, liquid or gas. Parker 3 Way Valves may be applied to divert flow of refrigerant in heat reclaim, reheat, or defrost applications.

The Parker 3 Way heat reclaim valves primary purpose is to control automatically the flow of fluids, liquid or gas. When the coil is de-energized the valve diverts refrigerant to the normal condenser. When the coil id energized the valve diverts refrigerant to the reclaim condenser. The 8D and 12D valves are powder coated steel bodies with extended copper connections. For air conditioning or refrigeration applications it is important to use system capacity, refrigerant, type of fluid, temperature and pressures. It is not recommended to size by line size. Refer to literature or selection program for capacity data and details. Each valve is factory tested to ensure positive leak-free performance.

Flo-Con SC Commercial Solenoid Valve

The SC suction solenoid for commercial applications was developed as an alternative low pressure drop shut off valve in a wide range of both port and connection sizes.

The R/S Type SC is a pilot operated solenoid. With cartridge (port) sizes available as large as 2- 5/8”, SC solenoids are capable of handling greater flow rates than other commercially available valves for suction applications in a non-flanged design. In addition, this unique design incorporates the same concept of cartridge interchangeability as found in Parker’s popular (S) PORT evaporator pressure regulators. This innovative design actually utilizes the same capacity cartridges (and valve bodies) as those used with the (S)PORT regulator series, as well as the same solenoid actuator, solenoid coil, and splice box coil housing. Capacity cartridges can be changed by simply unscrewing the valves’ four bonnet bolts in order to remove the adapter and cartridge assemblies.
With this flexible line of solenoid valves now supplementing the existing line of (S) PORT regulators having these same characteristics, a single reliable source for all suction line components is now available. This ductile iron-bodied solenoid valve with brazed copper couplings is suitable for most common refrigerants, certain oils and other fluids approved for use in refrigeration. This valve may be opened by means of a manual opening stem for servicing or in case of electrical power failure.

These solenoids are an integrated assembly of (3) three modules:
1) A body containing no moving parts
2) A capacity cartridge, which contains both piston and modulating plug
3) An adapter on which the pilot solenoid is mounted and which incorporates a manual opening stem which bypasses the pilot pressure around
